Copies of last year’s Annual Return are now available on our website
We receive data from certain providers every year and are required to publish this by law, in a process known as the Annual Return.
The Annual Return must be submitted by service providers who operate any of the following:
- Care home services
- Domiciliary services
- Secure accommodation services
- Residential family centre services
- Regulated fostering services
- Regulated adoption services
- Regulated advocacy services
- Adult placement services
These documents provide detailed information about how a service operates, including staff training and workforce planning.

The 2024 Annual Return process will commence on 1 April 2024. We will write to adult and children’s service providers in the coming weeks with more details of this year’s data collection exercise.
