Update: CIW online system maintenance extended to 9 am on Thursday 5 February

Due to the ongoing maintenance of our CIW database our online services will now be temporarily unavailable until 9 am on Thursday 5 February.

If you're a registered provider using CIW Online

During the extended maintenance period, you will not be able to:

  • log into your CIW Online account
  • submit statutory notifications
  • access your provider records

If you need to contact us urgently you can:

  • Email CIW@gov.wales or
  • Phone us on 0300 7900 126

For urgent notifications

If you have an urgent notification relating to safeguarding or a serious incident, please email CIW@gov.wales with 'URGENT NOTIFICATION' in the subject line. For other notifications, please hold them until the system is restored. You will not be penalised for any delays.

If you're a member of the public

During the maintenance period, you will not be able to raise a concern online. If you want to raise a concern you can:

The CIW Directory and CIW website will remain accessible throughout the maintenance period, showing provider information as it was at the point of system shutdown.

After maintenance

Once maintenance is complete, all services will operate as normal. Registered providers will receive a confirmation email when CIW Online is available again.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued patience.
