Local authority improvement check report: Monmouthshire adult services
This report summarises the findings of our improvement check inspection of Monmouthshire County Council's adult services in 2026.
We conducted this improvement check inspection to review the progress made by the local authority following our performance evaluation inspection in 2022 and a subsequent improvement check in 2025.
We carry out inspection activity in accordance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014; key lines of enquiry; and the quality standards in the Code of Practice in relation to the performance and improvement of social services in Wales. This helps us determine the effectiveness of local authorities in supporting, measuring, and sustaining improvements for people and in services.
