Share your views about the Vale, Valleys and Cardiff Adoption Service
We will soon be inspecting adoption services in Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. If you’ve used or supported these services, we’d like to hear from you.
During the first week of December 2025, we will inspect Vale, Valleys and Cardiff Adoption, the regional adoption service for people living in the following local authorities:
- Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council
- Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council
- Cardiff Council
- Vale of Glamorgan Council
Why we’re asking for your views
We want to understand how well adoption services are working for everyone involved. Your experiences will help us look at the quality of care and support being provided. This includes what’s working well and where things could be better.
Your feedback will directly inform our inspection.
Who we want to hear from
We welcome feedback from birth families, adoptive parents and people who are in the process of being assessed as adoptive parents. We are also keen to hear from practitioners and professionals who support adoption services in these areas.
How to take part
Please complete our survey by 24 November:
- Complete the birth families survey (External link)
- Complete the ‘all others’ survey (External link)
Or call us on 0300 7900 126 if you’d prefer to give your feedback over the phone.
What happens next?
We’ll use what you tell us to help shape our inspection of Vale, Valleys and Cardiff Adoption. After the inspection, we’ll publish a report with our findings and any recommendations for improvement.
Thank you for taking the time to share your views. Your feedback will help us understand how well adoption services are working and make sure people’s voices are heard.
