Independent review of childminding welcomed
The report has been published today on the Welsh Government website.
We have today welcomed the publication of the independent review of childminding (External link), commissioned by Welsh Government and carried out by Arad Research.
We are committed to working with all partners to promote the value of childminding as a profession and as an option for parents and carers.
While the safety and wellbeing of children is always our priority, we know that promoting improvement in the sector more generally is the best way to achieve that goal in the long term.
In response to the report’s recommendations, we plan to establish a task and finish group to keep our registration and inspection processes strong, whilst making improvements to ensure they work well for the childminding profession.
