Improvements found with further action needed to improve Bridgend County Borough Council Children’s services
Our improvement check took place between 21 and 24 November 2022.
We conducted this improvement check to review the progress made by Bridgend County Borough Council in relation to the areas for improvement we identified during our performance evaluation inspection (PEI) in May 2022.
During our inspection in May 2022, we identified several areas requiring improvements and where we had significant concerns.
At this improvement check we found improvements have been made, however further actions are needed to ensure the well-being of children and families is consistently promoted and protected. It remains that the local authority’s children’s services require improvement.
We will continue to monitor the progress of Bridgend County Borough Council in securing improvement in its children’s services, through our ongoing performance review activity.
