We have published a letter summarising the findings of our local authority improvement check on Powys County Council Social Services
The improvement check took place between 9 and 13 May 2022.
We conducted this improvement check to review the progress made by Powys County Council in relation to the areas for improvement we identified during our inspection in September 2020.
During the improvement check we found progress has been made in several areas which has resulted in developments to practice and better outcomes for people. This progress has been achieved in addition to the pressures and challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
