Providers of adult and children’s services can submit their annual returns from 1 August 2022
The deadline for submission is the end of October.
Responsible Individuals for RISCA services will be required to submit short annual returns to cover each of the periods 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22, depending on year of registration.
To help ease the burden on providers, we have tried to make this process as simple as possible via CIW Online by pre-populating a large amount of the required information.
We have also extended the submission period to 3 months to give providers more time to complete and submit these annual returns to us.
Who can submit the annual return?
Only the Responsible Individual(s) or organisation officer(s) associated to the provider can access, complete and submit the annual return.
Online assistants cannot complete or submit the annual return.

What happens to the annual return once it’s submitted?
Each annual return will be published on our website in due course.
Help and guidance
We are developing a short video showing how to submit the annual returns, and there will be written guidance for RISCA providers, available at the beginning of July.
We will also be hosting short online sessions at the end of July to walk providers through the process and answer any questions they may have.
