Temporary relaxation of National Minimum Standards for regulated childcare extended
We have emailed childcare and play providers to let them know about the update.
In April we emailed childcare and play providers to let them know about the temporary changes to relax some of the requirements in the National Minimum Standards for Regulated Childcare, which had been agreed by Welsh Ministers to facilitate the continued provision of childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As providers look to reopen or increase their operations in the light of the easing of some COVID-19 restrictions, Welsh Government has updated and extended the temporary relaxation of some of the requirements in its National Minimum Standards for regulated childcare until 30 September 2020.
We have today emailed all childcare and play providers an update of these arrangements, outlining the circumstances Welsh Government has put in place to support the sector.
Further details on the agreed changes can be accessed in the letter linked below:
Please note, the arrangements and guidelines set out in this email replace those set out in our April email.
