Joint statement with HIW: The importance of speaking up

We are experiencing an unprecedented health crisis and want to thank health and care staff all over Wales for their dedication, care and hard work in tackling the many challenges facing them and the people they are caring for.

We know this is an extremely stressful and difficult time for everyone, and many of you will have concerns about increased risks of unintentional harm to people who use health and care services, and to staff working in them. Speaking up is an essential element of a safe culture and should be ‘business as usual’ for everyone working in care.
