Proposed changes to notification requirements for unincorporated organisations

The proposed change will ensure greater consistency across the different types of organisation that can register as a service provider in Wales.

We have now issued letters from the Welsh Government to unincorporated service providers to let them know of a proposal to amend the regulations which place requirements on service providers and responsible individuals of regulated services in Wales.

Currently, if the partner or director of a service provider organisation changes, a notification must be made to us with details about the new individual(s). The new proposal will extend to individuals that make up the governing body of unincorporated organisations, such as trustees and members of boards and committees to also complete this process.

The Welsh Government intends to make this change from the 1 April 2020, to ensure there is consistency across the different types of organisation that can register as a service provider in Wales.
